AtomRain Awarded CGT 2.0 Task Order Under DAIS 1.0 BPA

In a continuation of our long-standing collaboration with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), AtomRain has been awarded the Task Order for the Corporate Graph Tool (CGT) 2.0, issued under the original Data Analytics and Innovation Support (DAIS) 1.0 Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), first awarded in November 2018.

This milestone reflects AtomRain’s enduring role in advancing data-centric compliance capabilities within the federal government — a responsibility we view not only as a professional honor, but as a continuation of our mission on this Task Order to engineer data systems that help the IRS meet its strategic objectives with trust, performance, and public accountability.

Understanding the Opportunity: CGT 2.0

The Corporate Graph Tool (CGT) was envisioned by the IRS Research, Applied Analytics and Statistics (RAAS) division as a solution to one of the agency’s most complex analytical challenges: understanding and navigating the intricate, evolving structures of multinational corporations through the lens of tax compliance.

CGT 2.0 expands on the original tool’s capabilities, offering:
– Dynamic, graph-based visualization of tax filings and corporate structures
– Cross-year comparison of changes in ownership and filing behavior
– Integration with internal platforms like the Compliance Data Warehouse (CDW) and Case Built File (CBF) system
– New analytics features, improved data refresh cycles, and a more intuitive user interface

DAIS 1.0: A Foundation for Trusted Innovation

Our participation in the DAIS 1.0 BPA dates back to its inception in late 2018, when AtomRain became one of the first vendors selected to support this forward-looking initiative. Since then, we’ve delivered high-impact projects under this framework, including:
– Knowledge graph environments used in risk detection
– Advanced analytics capabilities across RAAS and LB&I
– Scalable, microservice-based systems tailored for IRS data ecosystems

The award of CGT 2.0 under the original DAIS 1.0 BPA affirms not only the durability of that procurement vehicle, but also the IRS’s continued confidence in AtomRain’s ability to solve the hardest problems with agility, clarity, and technical excellence.

A Word from Our Team

“We’re proud to continue supporting the IRS through the DAIS 1.0 framework,” said Benjamin Nussbaum, Chief Technology Officer at AtomRain, Inc. “The CGT 2.0 award validates years of close collaboration, trust, and consistent delivery. More importantly, it reinforces the IRS’s belief that graph technology — when properly engineered and operationalized — is not just a visualization tool, but a strategic asset for uncovering risk, improving audits, and ultimately serving the American taxpayer.”

“Our team is honored to lead this next phase of CGT,” Nussbaum added, “and we’re excited to apply the latest advancements in graph data models, microservice orchestration, and analytics to help the IRS reach its mission objectives faster and more transparently.”

Why This Matters

The tax landscape is growing in complexity, with corporate entities evolving faster than legacy systems can interpret. CGT 2.0 represents a meaningful shift in how the IRS approaches this challenge — not with static reports, but with interactive, living models of tax-relevant relationships that can adapt to new filings, data sources, and organizational changes.

For AtomRain, this award is not just a project. It’s a renewed commitment to public service, and a reflection of what we believe federal data systems should embody: integrity, performance, adaptability, and trust.

Looking Ahead

With DAIS 1.0 still enabling mission-critical modernization across the IRS, AtomRain is proud to play a leading role in helping the agency move from legacy-bound processes toward intelligent, real-time, graph-driven insights.

We look forward to continuing this journey — and delivering technology that is as resilient as the mission it serves.
